Colony by Benjamin Cross

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What do you get when you mix a team of scientists performing an environmental impact study, a very remote arctic island, Russian Soldier “security” and creatures who aren’t happy that anyone has invaded their home? You get Colony. Part sci-fi, part horror, this was a terrific book that kept me thoroughly engaged the entire time I was reading. It’s gory and full of action and reads at a great pace. When will people learn that we should just leave remote locations alone? Without spoilers there is a part that I wish didn’t have to be included although I understand nothing is sacred in horror or creature survival books. I still give this a 4 of 5 and look forward to future books from this debut author. Thank you to Blackthorn Books and Benjamin Cross for the review copy of this book. My thoughts and opinions are my own.
